Cirencester United First Team Pen Pics 2006/07
- Players:
Goalkeeper - Lee Clatworthy, 17. Had a mixed season throughout the 2005/06 campaign. Looking to secure his place in the first team this term. Good young goalkeeper with alot to learn.
Defender - Martin Richings, 30. Enjoyed 5-6 at the Swindon Town School of Excellence when he was younger. Played for Stratton Youth set up too. Another experienced player in the squad.
Defender/Midfielder - Craig Harrison, 28. Another to make the step-up from local football. Had a good pre-season and has the chance to prove he can do what it takes to make an impression.
Defender/Midfielder - Colin Curtis, 20. Played in the CUFC Reserves side that won promotion. Hopes to secure a place in the First team this season. Played for the same U/16's and U/18's as Matthew Boucher.
Defender/Midfielder - Adam Keslake, 24. (CAPTAIN) Rejoined the club after playing for his local team. Born winner, good engine and loud mouth. No wonder he's the manager's choice to be skipper.
Defender/Midfielder - Ian Probert, 20. Started at the Stratton Youth set-up which seen there team win many trophies. Also got into the Cirencester Academy. Always looking sharp and fit. Loves to break forward and create.
Midfielder - Matthew Boucher, 20. Played for Stratton Youths teams and County U/16 and U/18 with Colin Curtis. Fully commited to the cause and skillful. Loves creating play around the park.
Midfield/Striker - Dan Bailey, 19. Although Dan is only 19 he is in his 3rd season with the club. Plenty of skill, strength and a good shot has seen him develop into a decent young player. Still has a lot to learn.
Striker - Alex Rudd, 21. Joins this season from Local football having come through the Forest Green and Cirencester Town Academy's. Also played for Weston St Johns of the Western League.
- Management:
Manager - Richard Smith, 38. Started his career with Wolves, following spells with Mansfield and several high echelon non-league clubs. His career was ended with a broken ankle whilst playing at Yate Town.
Assistant Manager - Scott Burry, 31. Joins as assistant after John Hathaway left due to family comitments. Great aquisition for the club. Brillaint Coach and Fitness Instructor.
Physiotherapist - Carly Montgomery, 19. Joins the club this season, with the intention of furthering her career in this specialist field.
